Turn your passion for specialty coffee into a technical, customer-focused career.
At SOVDA, we don’t just build equipment. We equip roasters with smarter, cleaner, more efficient production systems built to support long term growth. Our systems are trusted by industry leaders who value precision, reliability, and craftsmanship at scale.
We’re looking for a Northwest Arkansas based technical specialist who understands coffee production from the inside out. This is a hands on, travel ready role for someone fluent in the realities of roasting and comfortable with tools, troubleshooting, and installation. You are not just representing SOVDA. You are a technical partner to our customers, guiding them from first conversation through install, communicating clearly within the language of specialty coffee, and helping them build production systems that perform as well as the coffee they produce.

-
Stay Organized: Track projects, customer updates, and field activity in HubSpot and internal systems to support clear communication and consistent follow through.
-
Get Hands-On: Travel to customer sites across North America to support equipment installation, commissioning, and on site training to ensure every system performs as intended.
-
Be the Technical Bridge: Provide expert troubleshooting by phone and video, helping roasteries resolve issues quickly and keep production moving without disruption.
Responsibilities:
-
Technical Execution: Support equipment installations, commissioning, and system optimization to ensure every SOVDA solution performs to specification in real production environments.
-
Field Support: Travel to customer sites and provide remote troubleshooting to resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues with clarity and precision.
-
Operational Discipline: Maintain accurate project details and service updates within our CRM to support clear internal communication and reliable follow through.
-
Brand Representation: Represent SOVDA professionally in the field and at select industry events, building trust through technical expertise and steady execution.
Who You Are
-
Specialty Coffee Fluent: You understand coffee production (ideally 2+ years in roasting, coffee tech, etc.) and can communicate confidently with roasters and production teams.
-
Field Ready: You’re comfortable traveling 10 to 15 days per month (up to 20 when needed) and enjoy being on site where the work happens.
-
Mechanically Capable: You’re confident with hand tools and have the mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot, repair, and support electromechanical equipment in production environments.
-
Technically Organized: You can document work clearly, maintain accurate notes in a CRM, and communicate details across teams to keep installs and service moving smoothly.
-
Professional Representative: You show up well in person, build trust quickly, and represent SOVDA with technical credibility and steady, confident presence customers rely on.
